Taking stock

by admin on June 1, 2010

Looking back on the last week it did not feel I was getting the hikes and steps in that I had hoped to achieve. It was a busy week with a fast trip to northern Nova Scotia, where despite my best laid plans things just did not work out as planned. That is just the way it is sometimes. That is part of that inner peace piece, where we need to accept what has gone on and look to the future to improve the situation. All in all I should not complain though I did get two great hikes in at Fundy National Park.  While my daily achievements were not always where I wanted them I did achieve some overall distance and two mini-adventures.

I look forward to the new week ahead. As a sage colleague and friend asked when she learned I was changing jobs to frankly a pretty busy one, how will I keep the balance with my personal goals. It was a rhetorical question. One we should all ask ourselves from time to time to ensure we are on the path we want to follow.

Worry is spiritual short sight. Its cure is intelligent faith.
