getting there is long – heading to adventure

by admin on August 7, 2011

Sitting in the ferry terminal waiting to load the boat . We are headed to the West coast of Newfoundland. Most of the day was spent driving. I hope to get some steps in on the boat. Choosing places and making choices. We skipped all the usual haunts for lunch and sat on the beach at Mayettes Beach on mainland Nova Scotia just prior to crossing the causeway to Cape Breton Island. It was a much more interesting place to eat then a Tim Hortons.

It was a shades of grey weather day. We got a touch of fog as we neared the Bay of Fundy. The highlands of Cape Breton are always beautiful. They were calling out today but they will. Have to wait for another time. This is our first family trip to NF so it should be interesting. Many adventures are to come. Stay tuned.
